I’ve always loved hand-knitted clothing – the process, the tactile comforting nature of a ball of wool, knowing and appreciating the time that goes into each piece, even the sound of needles clicking together whilst linking the wool to create fabric - the sound of which was the backdrop of my childhood. It was this and the joy of wearing keepsake hand-knitted hand-me-downs from my Danish mother and grandmother that led me to launch Hambro & Miller. Drawing on my Scandinavian roots, the pieces we create are traditional in style, using soft, luxurious yarns to create heirloom pieces, made to be treasured, worn, and passed down through generations.

Everything we produce is hand-knitted in the UK. We have a wonderful team of knitters who, between them, have hundreds of years of experience in the craft, bringing our customers beautifully made, truly luxurious clothing. We pride ourselves on quality over quantity, placing an emphasis on sustainable, classic designs which, if looked after, will last lifetimes.

We hope our customers will appreciate the time, care and attention to detail that goes into everything we make. With pieces taking up to 70 hours to knit, these garments are made slowly, with care and intention, using quality yarns spun for longevity. In a world of fast-fashion and fleeting trends, investing in our hand-knits supports traditional craftsmanship, a reduction in waste, and takes a meaningful step toward more sustainable and thoughtful consumption.
